About the Owner
Energy. Creativity. Efficiency. Integrity. High standards. Tenacity. Working smart.
Whether its event planning and management or skills training, owner Sandi Stetson brings all of these qualities and more. Naturally entrepreneurial, in 1991 she turned her lively personality and solid business acumen into a thriving venture, Verve Marketing & Communications.
Sandi excels at showcasing businesses at professional events. Clients know they can trust her to put pride and commitment into everything she does. Her intuitive knowledge of market strategy, business promotion, and event positioning come from her proven track record leading:
- The establishment and growth of the Grande Prairie College Fitness Resource Centre into a regional hub of excellence that continues to thrive twenty five years later.
- Consulting and business assessment services at the Business Development Bank of Canada
- The promotion of business interests at the Grande Prairie Downtown Association, including parades, sidewalk sales, corporate challenges, and workshops
As facilitator of the Women’s Employment Entry/Re-entry Program in Red Deer, Sandi’s insight and encouragement helped inspire numerous participants to develop larger visions of work and life. Since 2000, Sandi has continued to play a vital role in helping fellow entrepreneurs turn their business dreams into reality, serving as a mentor in the Entrepreneur Program at Anderson Career Training Institute.
Her consulting practice allows her to turn her hands-on experience in trade show production into one-on-one coaching and trade show booking services for businesses looking for increased promotional and market positioning opportunities.
Businesses and individuals also look to Sandi to provide practical and realistic skills training in leadership, management, personal development, and especially public speaking. Sandi holds the designation of Distinguished Toastmaster from Toastmasters International, an honour restricted to those who not only excel at speaking but at leadership and communications. She holds a Bachelor of Physical Education from the University of Alberta and is certified as a Lead Auditor through Quality Management International Inc. (QMI).
A big believer in giving back to the community and province that have given her so much, Sandi’s volunteer experience includes years of service for Big Sisters, the United Way, Edmonton Minor Hockey, Junior Achievement, and Skate Canada.
